We watched the Oscars last night...or really, PJ watched the Oscars. I watched most of the show, but fell into a coma some time after Jennifer Hudson won. What a great story she is! Only in America. I won't pretend to be an authority on anything that happened last night, but I will tell you that I think Ellen is the PERFECT host. She was too cute in her Donny Osmond throwback suit and Pat Boone shoes. She's always such a breath of fresh air. And she makes me laugh just by showing up. Very few people can do that for me. (Yes, we know you can, Owen, but you were not asked to host the Oscars...yet.)
So, I'm kinda bummed that "Little Miss Sunshine" didn't win the big one. I'll go ahead and confess that it's the only movie I've seen out of the nominations (the main reason I am not an authority), but I can't imagine any other movie being much better than "Little Miss Sunshine." I knew I would love it the minute I heard about it - even though I had no idea what to expect. And I've been hesitant to discuss it in detail with people because the surprise factor is what makes it so amazing. So, for months, I've just been running around telling everyone to go see it. Maybe now they will...now that there's not much surprise left.
Speaking of sunshine, I think I have Seasonal Affective Disorder. Noele and I were discussing this via one of our email chats at work today, and I'm thinking I have it. But, what do I do about it? I mean, I already take an anti-depressant, so I guess that's enough since that probably means I have Year Round Affective Disorder, but it seems that a prescription for the tanning bed would be helpful. Of course I would never dream of exposing my skin to such...you know me better than that. I'm just saying something's got to give. What's up with that groundhog and his prediction? I'm ready for some sun! I'm thinking the fact that my office is in a basement with no windows in the very back of a huge building with no windows may have something to do with all of this.
Oh, so Clover seemed to be really into the Oscars, too. The inspriring stories have convinced her to audition for the remake of "Titanic."
that clove r is something else!!!!
