I can't sleep. Is that what happens now? Now that I am past 40? I just won't sleep? That seems really unfair since I am more tired at 43 than I was at say 33 or 23 when I could sleep for days without hearing a peep or even moving an inch. Now days my eyes pop open and that's it. It's gonna be a long other half of my life. Poor PJ. I'm a grouch.
This condition...not sleeping...insomnia...is so out of character for me. I was a world class sleeper at one time in my life. For years, actually, I napped daily - sometimes more than once a day. My sleeping time was only forsaken for tanning time and I was a happier person then I think. Not really...I wouldn't be 17 again for all the money in the world...but I was more alert...and more brown.
So, I'm wondering if the whole re-entry into the real world has me a bit discombobulated. Maybe that's it. Maybe it has nothing to do with being 43 and everything to do with STRESS and FRUSTRATION and the complete insanity I am experiencing this week at work. I'll stop there and spare you the details.
Someone is looking at the condo today - for the 2nd time. Send good thoughts our way; send good thoughts and financing their way. It's such a let down to clean and spruce up for folks and then never hear from them again. Of course, I think I may go overboard. (That would be just like me, huh?) I'm thinking I might start leaving a note such as this on the front door:
Dear prospective buyer,
Yes, we realize this place is a mess. Yes, we know there are big dog hair tumbleweeds rolling across the once beautiful hardwood floors. Yes, we know the bed hasn't been made, and yes, we know there are dishes in the kitchen sink. We understand that toothpaste on the bathroom mirror and razor stubble in the tub are a bit gross. And we even realize that we haven't dusted a thing in 6 weeks.
That being said; rest assured, if you buy this condo, we will clean it before we move. Promise.
Oh, and yes, we realize the association fee is RIDICULOUS. And we can't do a damn thing about that.
Sincerely,
The proud owners
p.s. Dogs not included. Touch them and die.
SO?!?!?!!? any word?!?!!?
